Platform Comparison: Moove Vs ActiveWorlds

Vs

Moove and ActiveWorlds are both social VR platforms, each taking a different route at giving its userbase a virtual reality experience for the alternate lives carried out within.

Moove

Moove is an interconnected virtual environment that makes no pretences about its purpose. It is designed for intimacy, romance and love. A community driven, grid computing, sprawling complex whose one goal is to foster friendships and lead to romantic engagements. It is made up of a collection of tiny worldlets, each divided into rooms, and outdoor areas. Each micro world, or worldlet is also a hive of creative building and model making.

ActiveWorlds

Active Worlds is a crossbreed. Nominally used as a 3D chatspace, it is also a hive of creative building, the codebase for several RPGs, and the source of inspiration for many new VR ventures. AW itself is made up of a collection of worlds, sharing the same graphical base, yet it manages to maintain cohesion as a 'worldlet' of sorts itself.

Both platforms share many features in common, and of course, compete directly for audience. During the rest of this comparison, we will pair them off against one another, over a collection of the features they each offer, to showcase both the similariries, and the key differences.
