Site Shop > Virtual Storytelling. Using Virtual Reality Technologies for Storytelling: Third International Conference, VS 2005

This book constitutes the refereed proceedings of the third International Conference on Virtual Storytelling, ICVS 2005, held in Strasbourg, France, in December 2005. Taking the original blurb from the 2005 conference:

At least 110 persons, among 14 countries, participated to the third international conference on Virtual Storytelling that took place in Strasbourg, November 30 - Devember 2,2005.

With an introduction from the European Commission, 4 invited lectures given by international authorities, 21 scientific communications and a poster session, ICVS 05 has been a great success.

This book is thusly a collection of all 37 major papers from that conference, covering a very diverse, fascinating range of topics essential for all manner of VR creation, not just storytelling.

The 33 revised full papers presented together with 4 invited papers over 289 pages ? shorter than either year before. They were carefully reviewed and selected for presentation. The papers are organised in topical sections on virtual reality technologies, virtual characters, drama and emotion, interactive digital storytelling, new ways of narrative, interactivity, and applications.

Due to a disagreement as to copyright availability with the publisher for this edition, we are unable to list the papers within by name.
