There are half a dozen different designs of the stealth mouse, in two distinct
flavours. One flavour is seen as a mouse by default, and works with Windows/Linux/Mac
standard mouse drivers. The other is not, and requires specialist drivers to
work alongside a normal mouse.
Regardless of type, it is picked up as a normal mouse, and has additional capabilities
depending on driver. It is essentially a reworking of the original stealth mouse,
in a new housing, and is a 3D mouse that never actually strays from the top
of the desk.
It achieves this impressive feat by means of a horizontally placed scroll wheel
at the back of the mouse, which serves to scroll in the Z axis. In all other
respects it functions like a normal, two-handed mouse.
Yes, two handed. Designed with technical work and careful 3D placement in mind,
this heavy beast was created to be used with one or two hands, to ensure precision
placement, and is moulded accordingly. No wireless version is available, and
you could probably use it as a club in a pinch.
In addition to the scroll wheel, which is placed under the left thumb, there are
ten other buttons. One for each finger of each hand, and two under the right thumb.
These are programmable to do as the user desires.
